Dear Beautiful Girls,
Sometimes life feels tough. You might feel like there’s no way forward. There are no answers, no help, just a lot of uncertainty. Maybe school feels overwhelming, friendships are complicated, family dynamics feel heavy, you’re running out of time for the hobbies you love, or you’re worried about the future. It can feel like being in a wilderness, unfamiliar, uncomfortable, and far from the “good old days” when everything seemed simpler.
The Bible tells us about the Israelites, God’s chosen people, whom He delivered from Egypt. Even though God provided for them again and again, their lack of trust kept them wandering. But God never abandoned them. He was a constant presence, giving them manna from heaven, water from a rock, and guiding them with a cloud by day and a fire by night (Exodus 13:21–22; 16–17). Their story is a powerful reminder that even in the most challenging times, God calls us to trust His ability to meet our every need, because He is forever faithful. He was with the Israelites every step of the way, just as He is with you in your struggles.
Even when life feels like a wilderness, remember, God is right there with you. His presence is a source of comfort, and He is faithful to guide and provide for you in every difficult situation. You are never alone in your journey.
As Thanksgiving approaches, it’s a great time to remember that even in your “wilderness” moments, you can look for ways to shine God’s light. A kind word to a friend who is feeling down, helping a sibling with their homework, sending a thoughtful text, or writing gratitude letters to the cashiers at your favorite supermarket, your doctors, dentist, teachers, or family members. These acts of kindness matter. You can pray for a classmate who might be struggling to find a balance between their schoolwork and extracurricular activities. Remember, even the smallest acts can make a big difference in someone's life. Philippians 4:19 reminds us: “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
Even when life feels uncertain, remember that you can have hope, peace, and joy. Trusting in God to grow your faith and deepen your dependence on Him. He can use your heart, your words, and your actions to help others know Him. Serving others can bring a deep sense of walking in God’s will as you become His hands and feet, showing love, sharing His message, and pointing others to Jesus, the God who is forever faithful, who provides, and who offers eternal life to everyone who believes.
Today, let your heart whisper:
God, help me to trust You in my wilderness. Show me someone I can encourage, help, or pray for. Help me shine Your light, share Your love, and point them to You.
Remember, sweet, beautiful girl, God is forever faithful even in the wilderness. He is with you every step of the way. His plans for you are magnificent, and His faithfulness is your anchor, your hope, and your security.
